L2 - P2 - Ep 2: On the Job (Red to Yellow)/ Uninvited Circles Jumpers
Circles Level 1, 2 & 3 • 8m 47s
This episode aims to show an example of a mutual change in a relationship, form Red Stranger Circle to the Yellow Handshake Circle when there is a formal introduction by a trustworthy adult; to illustrate that both people understand they will cross an entire circle of boundary limits in touch, talk, and trust because of their mutual necessity and the benefit to both. Each person had previously known and independently established a history of appropriate levels of touch, talk, and trust with the third party.
In the next part of the episode, the key objectives are showing an example of an attempt to "Circle Jump": a non-mutual change in a relationship, from Red Stranger Circle jumping too close, too fast to a closer circle; illustrating how direct, indirect and/or subtle signals can immediately communicate attempts at "Circle Jumping"; showing how "Circle Jumping" that is not rejected can lead to potentially dangerous situations or have serious consequences; and showing that if one person oversteps the elements of touch, talk, and trust too quickly, it is best for the other person to act decisively and take charge of setting correct boundary limits and ensuring his or her own safety.
