First Impressions Attitude
Teach students people skills and that their attitude is an important part of making a good first impression; attitude speaks louder than words.
No matter how coifed and kempt you are, your appearance will not overcome the negative impressions a bad attitude can make. A person with a bad attitude usually gives the impression of being negative, disinterested, disrespectful, irresponsible and conceited. An important part of making a good first impression is not behaving in a way that shows others that you have a bad attitude. A person with a good attitude usually gives the impression of being positive, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible and humble. An important part of making a good first impression is behaving in a way that shows others that you have a good attitude.
Bad attitudes and bad social behavior can cause embarrassment, humiliation, and loss of self-confidence. With First Impressions, you will present an entertaining and humorous approach to teaching good manners. Introduce your students to proper social behavior necessary for success in everyday situations. Through a series of dramatizations of typical human interactions, your students will see the negative impact of bad manners and learn how good manners promote respect and acceptance.
The Attitude module will teach your students with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and emotional challenges that making a good first impression means more than looking good; it also means presenting a good attitude.
